The bottoms of the legs come off to make 3/4 pants. There are a ton of pockets of several sizes - three front and three back on each side, plus cargo pockets, making 14 pockets in all. The cargo pockets have a zippered pouch inside to keep things organized.
These are the same as the old v-tech pants, except they're 100% cotton (and much more durable).
